December

From the Small Window Studio Garden

Some beautiful sunsets so far this month and lots of bird visits – including a sparrow hawk!

Winter Solstice – Yule

The day is short, the darkness long

’Tis the midnight of the year

The sun’s return will bring the dawn

And spring draws ever near

Beautiful words from my husband Nick Lumb

A bit of an odd month workwise – I have seemed to be busy but not a lot, other than Christmas stuff produced. The world is upside-down – the UK is crashing towards a no deal Brexit and we have a highly contagious new strain of Covid. Europe and many other places have banned us from entering. Grateful for our studio space – guitars to play and a garden to look out on. We had planned a quiet Christmas with no visitors so our plans haven’t altered since Johnson made his 11th hour cancellation of the proposed 5 day relaxation.

Here are a few images of Christmas

The final painting in the series and a good one to sign off with. Yule and Christmas Blessings Greetings from Small Window Studio.

See you in the new year.
